Ghusl (Bathing) & Burial Instructions for Adult Muslim Female

Bathing Steps:

1. Performed only by women.

2. Follow the same steps as a male, but cover the body fully at all times.

3. Wash hair in three sections, braid loosely, and place behind the head.

4. Use camphor and perfume as in the male bath.

Shrouding Steps:

1. Use 5 sheets: Izar, Qamees, Sinar (chest wrap), Lifaafah, and scarf/head cover.

2. After drying and applying Itr, gently wrap the body starting from the inner layers.

3. Cover the hair with a scarf, chest with a Sinar.

4. Tie as needed to keep the sheets in place.

Burial Steps:

• Same as for males.

• Only mahram male relatives may lower her into the grave.

• Ensure dignity and modesty throughout the burial.
